The meeting also decided to restore the heritage building at Taal Chhapar in Churu. Kak instructed the officials concerned that a proposal to convert the building into a watch tower must be prepared and presented soon. The meeting laid stress on having well-facilitated mid-way hotels on all major highways. It was decided that mid-way hotels be set up along the highways connecting Bundi and Kota, Kota and Jhalawar, Udaipur and Chittorgarh and Punjab and Ganganagar. Kak was of the opinion that the tourism department must look for possibilities of participating in the bio-diversity projects made by the forest department near Pushkar.
The meeting further decided to regulate and examine the current condition of flood lights that have been fixed at the 27 monuments. The process of filling up the vacancies in the tourism department will also soon be initiated.
Kak also instructed the chief executive officer (CEO) of Fair Authority, Rajendra Vijay, to collect the list of fairs from the department as well as the department of husbandry for their proper conduct. She added that necessary arrangements in terms of water, security and health care facilities must be made at these fairs.
