JAIPUR: Solving a case in which unknown assailants had opened fire inside a sweet shop situated at Tijara Phatak flyover in Alwar, the Alwar police on Friday arrested two fugitives from Alwar-Rewari border.
The two arrested accused had planned this extortion along with the inmates of Bhondsi jail of Haryana.
Their motive was to ensure that their aides Naveen Gurjar and Mohit Dandi involved in the crime can be shifted from Bhondi jail of Haryana to Alwar.
According to the police, two men opened fire at a sweet shop following which a team was constituted to nab them.
Based on technical surveillance and other inputs, police finally arrested the two accused identified as Dheeraj Jangra alias shooter and Omveer alias Baba Jaat.
“It was found that both just wanted to get a case in Alwar on the behest of their aides including Mohit Dandi and Naveen Gurjar who had asked them to do so and were part of the planning. Actually, the jail administration at Bhonsi jail of Haryana is strict and Mohit and Naveen wanted to have a case in Alwar so that they could be shifted to Alwar. Thus, they had asked their aides to open fire at the shop and ask ransom of Rs 50 lakh from shopowner,” said Tejaswini Gautam, SP, Alwar.
Police stated that the accused had planned the incident on July 5 and executed it on July 9.
