Students of city-based schools left no stone unturned to create awareness on basic human rights of every individual on the occasion of Human Rights Day on Friday.

JAIPUR: Students of city-based schools left no stone unturned to create awareness on basic human rights of every individual on the occasion of Human Rights Day on Friday. The did everything from distributing pamphlets on roads to debates, discussions and plays.
Nearly, 300 students of Subodh School, Rambagh Circle distributed pamphlets to create general awareness on the occasion of Human Rights Day.

"Students from class VIII, IX and X went to various traffic junctions aiming to interact with people on this topic," said Sanjay Parashar, spokesperson, Subodh. This programme was organised by Human Rights Club in School.
Class X students of Cambridge Court High School staged a skit to emphasise the importance of human rights. Expressing his views on this issue, Lata Rawat, principal of the school said, "Human rights are inalienable for all human beings without any discrimination of nationality, language, sex and religion." She appealed to the students to spread the awareness of human rights among the poor and the illiterate
In a similar manner, St Xavier's School used this opportunity to sensitise students towards the importance of human rights in civil society. A A Khan, state health minister, was chief guest on the occasion emphasised the urgent need of being conscious about your duties to promote human rights.
"The role of students has become larger in safeguarding the basic rights of individuals in our society," Khan said. Many students participated in debates, competitions and raised questions on current situation like problems of Naxalites, Kashmir, poverty and illiteracy.
