Jaipur: Opposition leader Gulab Chand Kataria on Thursday described the law and order situation in the state worse than ‘jungle raj’. He said chief minister
Ashok Gehlot who is also in charge of the home department should open his mouth on the death of sadhus and mob lynching incidents.
He also attacked the chief minister for his comment on paramilitary forces being used to ferry stacks of money to
BJP offices and sought proof for his statement.
Kataria said in the last few days, sadhus are being killed in the state.
A sadhu has been murdered in Sangaria of Hanumangarh. Earlier, the government could not give an explanation for the killing or deaths of sadhus in Jalore and Bharatpur.
He said police are still silent on the death of a child after allegedly being beaten up by a teacher resulting in a lot of confusion over the actual cause of death. He said the Alwar mob lynching incident has shaken everyone’s conscience. A mob lynched an innocent person while defecating in the field. “There cannot be a jungle raj in any other state worse than that in Rajasthan,” he said.
