Jaipur: The electrical and electronics industry in the state is upbeat about opportunities in energy storage solutions, green hydrogen, fuel cells, artificial intelligence, and internet of things (IoT).
“Today, we are not dependent on imports to meet the requirements in the solar and wind sectors. We need to innovate and enhance efficiency now. Sustainability through energy conservation and achieving carbon net zero will be the thrust areas and, they offer immense opportunity for the electrical and electronics industry,” said Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) president Rohit Pathak at an event.
The theme for IEEMA’s bi-annual trade show scheduled in February is ‘Reimagine energy for sustainable future,’ which mirrors the priorities of the country, said Pathak.
Jitendra Agarwal, the chairman of ELECRAMA - 2023, said, “In the solar equipment industry, the economy of scale is the key. Given the pace of new projects coming up, the manufacturing sector will gain competitiveness. We used to import solar panels. It has stopped now. We are leaders in cables and wires. The domestic manufacturing industry is also meeting the demand for inverters and other equipment.”
ELECRAMA will have exhibitors and visitors from over 70 countries, said Agarwal. “It will have pavilions from Canada, France, Germany, Romania, Taiwan and the UK, among others,” he added.
