SOG conducts searches, raids in paper leak cases
Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan police has been conducting raids across different cities in the state with the aim of tracking down suspects involved in various cheating rackets. Sources indicate that while the operation has been underway for the past several days, it has been intensified due to the Informatics Assistants recruitment examination scheduled to be held on Sunday.A senior official stated that SOG teams have been carrying out searches in Jalore, Sanchore, Barmer, Jodhpur, Dausa, and other districts in search of as many as 150 suspects wanted in various exam paper leaks, cheating, and impersonation cases.The sources said that Additional Superintendents of Police (ADSPs) from SOG and ATS were dispatched to different districts a month ago with the aim of keeping an eye on the activities of suspects who have been involved in the past in illegal activities related to different recruitment examinations.The officials mentioned that the SOG has already shared a list of suspects with Superintendents of Police (SPs) in several districts across the state and asked them to assist in tracking down the accused wanted in different cases.An official said that the SIT and SOG have drawn up a list of suspects wanted in different paper leaks and cheating cases and shared the list with the district SPs to help track down the suspects. “We have also sent police teams from Jaipur to assist in apprehending the absconding suspects involved in different cases of paper leak and cheating cases,” said the official.
