Jaipur: Asserting their supremacy for the second consecutive year, Services prevailed over
Rajasthan 32-30 to win the 50th Senior National Men's Handball Championship at the SMS Indoor Stadium on Friday. Avtar struck five goals while Sahil, Mohit, Robin and Raghu scored four goals each for Services. Arjun and Deepak chipped in with three each while Mitu and Shagah Ur Rahman contributed two goals each for the winners.
For the hosts, Ashish (7), Sukhveer (6 ), Amit (6), Bhushan (4), Sumit (4), Vikas (3) kept Rajasthan in the game till the end before settling for a silver medal. Rajasthan’s Sukhveer Singh was adjudged as The Best Player. Services’ Atul and Mohit Ahlawat were given the Best Goalkeeper and Highest Scorer awards.tnn
