Jaipur: The Census 2027 process will begin in Jaipur with self-enumeration from May 1 to May 15, when people can fill in their own details online.
Residents can use a mobile phone or computer to upload their family information on the official census portal. Officials have advised people not to share OTPs with anyone, even when an enumerator visits later for verification.

District Collector Sandesh Nayak said that after entering the details, people will get an option to check and edit their information before final submission. Once submitted, changes cannot be made online, but corrections can be done later when officials visit homes for verification.
The administration completed its preparations for Census 2027. Trial work was completed in the Kishanpol zone under the Jaipur Municipal Corporation, covering wards 55, 56 and 63. Boundary and mapping work was completed in Dec 2025.
Special census teams have been formed for smooth execution. Around 5,277 blocks have been created, with nearly 4,800 enumerators and 780 supervisors assigned. Training of officials and staff has been completed.
The second phase of the Census will be house listing, which will take place from May 16 to June 14, while the final population count will be done in Feb 2027.
