JAIPUR: Former minister and sitting Congress MLA Rajendra Singh Gudha, who launched a campaign against CM Ashok Gehlot over a controversial 'red diary' after being sacked from the state cabinet recently, joined Shiv Sena on Saturday.
The development took place at Gudha's village Gudha in Neem Ka Thana district, where Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde was present to welcome him into the party.

After joining Shiv Sena, Gudha said, "With Eknath Shinde, I will work for the youth and women of Rajasthan." In his new role, Gudha will serve as the Shiv Sena's state coordinator.
Shinde said in his address, "Like you (Gudha), I had also left the post of minister. I had left the post of minister for the thoughts and ideals of Bala Saheb. Rajendra Gudha left the post of minister for truth."
Targeting Gehlot, Shinde said the Rajasthan CM had acknowledged a year ago how he owed his position as CM to Gudha, but only to dismiss him later. Gudha’s political transition coincided with the birthday celebration of his son, Shivam. Interestingly, Gehlot was present at Shivam’s birthday celebration at Gudha’s native place last year and said that the MLA had saved his government.

“What mistake did Gudha commit? Is it a crime to support the truth? You had raised your voice only about law and order and atrocities against women in Rajasthan,” said Shinde, adding that Gudha left the ministerial post but “did not leave the truth”.
Welcoming Gudha in Shiv Sena, Shinde said, “It is a happy union of the bravery of Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Whenever Gudha came to Maharashtra, he used to worry about the Rajasthanis living there. We will take care of every Rajasthani living in Maharashtra.”
“Rajasthan has potential for industries and mining. If we carry out development here, the state’s unemployed youth would not have to go to other states. Shiv Sena is doing the same work in Maharashtra,” said Shinde.
Recalling that Congress was also part of the previous government in Maharashtra, Shinde accused the party of setting Maharashtra back by 10 to 15 years. “Our state was earlier number one in industry and business, but it was taken to the third-fourth position. Development stopped. Corruption flourished. But after NDA’s double-engine government came to power, we again put Maharashtra at number one,” he said.
