RTO flying squad driver run over by truck, dies

Jaipur: A 48-year-old driver attached to the RTO flying squad on a contractual job died after being hit by a truck near the Hingonia toll plaza on Agra Road Sunday while the team was conducting checks, police said.Police identified the deceased as Rajaram (48), a resident of Kotputli Behror.
According to police, the flying squad was issuing challans around 3pm, about 200 metre from the Hingonia toll plaza in Kanota area, when Rajaram was crossing the road. An unidentified vehicle allegedly ran him over and fled the spot.RTO staff immediately rushed him to SMS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Accident East-2 police shifted the body to the mortuary for a post-mortem.tnn
