in the state’s Hadauti region has enthralled bird lovers. Species of migratory birds are sighted in Kota’s Jawahar Sagar Sanctuary and the areas around it primarily during winters, but for the first time, bird watchers captured images of some rare birds during the monsoon season.
These birds have flown to the region, mainly from south east India and South Africa. Manish Arya, Sunil Singhal, and Mitesh Chauhan from
Haduati Naturalistic Society
, a group of bird lovers, captured images of some of these migratory birds recently.
“We were surprised to spot tawny bellied babbler and crested tree shift. Birds from these species have never been sighted in Rajasthan. They have migrated to the region from south east India during monsoon. Many other species like
white naped woodpecker
and
Indian spotted creeper
were also sighted in the region for the first time,” said Arya.
Bird lovers said these birds have migrated to Chambal valleys due to humid atmosphere there.
