Jaipur: Riding on a brilliant show by Dino Dhankar, Padmanabh Singh and Lance Watson, Team Jaipur beat Team France 8-5 to emerge as champions in the Rajmata Padmini Devi of Jaipur International Shield Exhibition polo match at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground here on Saturday.The one-off tie brought seasoned and accomplished polo players face to face. The ‘most valuable player' award of the match was claimed by Robert Strom of Team France.While young player Dhankar struck three goals, Padmanabh and Watson contributed a couple of goals each. Kuldeep Singh Rathore also chipped in with a goal.For France, Robert notched up three 3 goals, while Clement Delfose and Sebastien Sorbac scored a goal apiece. Ashwini Sharma was the other member of the side.On this occasion, the sixth edition of the Jaipur Polo Magazine was also released. Rajkumar Tongya and Anita Tongya from Diacolor presented a shield to the winning team.Rajasthan Tourism Polo Cup final on March 1The final of the Rajasthan Tourism Polo Cup (6-goal) will be played on Sunday at 4 pm at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground. The final will be played between Team V Polo and Team Sainte Mesme.
