“Of the promises made in our election manifesto, we (the BJP government) have already fulfilled 72 per cent. The remaining 28 per cent of the promises too will be fulfilled very soon,’’ said the state president, while addressing a press conference at the state BJP headquarters.
Listing out its major achievements and awards received by the state government on in the past three years, Parnami claimed that the Vasundhara Raje government’s performance was better that the former
“We are much ahead in terms of performance as compared to what the Ashok Gehlot government had achieved in the five years of its tenure from 2008 to 2013,’’ he claimed. Accusing the former Congress government of financial mismanagement, Parnami said that the then government had left behind a debt of Rs 2.70 lakh crore, of which the state discom losses stood at Rs 80,000 crore.
“It is the financial management of the Raje government and not compromising on the aspect of development, which brought the state back on tracks. In her first tenure as CM from 2003 to 2008, Raje had turned Rajasthan into a developed state while the Congress government between 2008 and 2013 pushed it back into the category of BIMARU states. We in the last three years have worked round the clock to ensure it is known as one of the developed states,’’ said Parnami.
Listing out the achievements of the state government, he mentioned that of the 15 lakh jobs that the Raj BJP had assured in its manifesto, 9 lakh have already been provided. “Among our flagship programmes are the Jal Swavlamban Abhiyaan, Bhamasha, Gramin Gaurav Path, Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development, Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana, Nyay Aapke Dwar and the Annapurna Bhandars,’’ he said.
He made a special mention of the Direct Benefit Transfers, which was first initiated by the state and other exclusive initiatives by the state including the recently held Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM), organic farming in 11 districts, Gaupalan department and the formation of Rajasthan River Basin and Water Resources Planning Authority.
