JAIPUR: Rajasthan education department Wednesday suspended 12 teachers of a govt school, including its principal, a day after their involvement in mass cheating in the State Open school exams for classes 10 and 12 came to light.
A statement issued by the department said Rajasthan State Open School formed a flying squad and inspected Govt Higher Secondary School Panji Ka Bera, Phalodi, during the exam on July 16. On reaching the spot, the inspection team found the school's main gate locked and discovered that mass cheating was underway inside.
"The invigilators were caught red-handed in the presence of the centre superintendent while making students copy (answers) by writing on the blackboard in all the examination halls.
