Rajasthan health minister Raghu Sharma tests positive for Covid-19

JAIPUR: Rajasthan health minister Raghu Sharma tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. He was rushed to RUHS hospital, the biggest government-run dedicated Covid-19 hospital in Jaipur.
Sharma was in his home town Kekri constituency of Ajmer, where he developed symptoms of Covid-19. His samples were taken by Ajmer’s district health department team on Sunday.
“We are examining his parameters including oxygen saturation, blood pressure and other vital parameters,” said a senior official at RUHS hospital.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted, “Wishing my ministerial colleague, Dr Raghu Sharma ji speedy recovery from #COVID19. May he gets well soon. @RaghusharmaINC (sic).”
Sharma has played a key role in expanding healthcare services for Covid-19 patients. His close staff told TOI that he had cough, cold and fever for some time, he got tested for Covid-19 and found to be infected with the virus.
