Govt launches state review mission in Karauli to strengthen healthcare
Jaipur: The health department has launched its state review mission (SRM) from Karauli district, concluding a three-day assessment of healthcare facilities on Thursday. This initiative aims to enhance health services, streamline operations, and improve healthcare standards by identifying and addressing system gaps. On Oct 22, nine teams from the Jaipur Health Directorate conducted inspections across 21 medical institutions and several homes in Karauli. The findings were presented during a review meeting at the district headquarters.Principal secretary of health, Gayatri Rathore, said, improving healthcare across Rajasthan is a key priority for the state govt. She underscored the importance of achieving 100% targets in critical areas, including maternal and child health services, institutional deliveries, vaccinations, TB eradication, and cleanliness.During her visit, Rathore stressed raising public awareness on the benefits of institutional deliveries and vaccinations. She also directed the immediate operationalisation of all First Referral Units (FRUs) in the district and called for more medical institutions to be certified under National Quality Assurance Scheme through the enhancement of healthcare standards. Additionally, Rathore instructed teams to regularly update the e-equipment portal for timely maintenance of diagnostic machines and activated the underutilised diagnostic equipment at the district hospital.
