Jaipur: After two days of torrential rain at many places in the state, the rainfall activity decreased on Monday at most places. Majority of the places witnessed hot and humid weather. Nainwa (Bundi) received 130mm rainfall, highest in the state.
Attributing the climatic change to active upper air cyclonic circulation, Jaipur Met office said that no heavy rainfall was witnessed in Kota and Udaipur divisions.
The rainfall activity across the state was lesser at various places in the state except some parts in Jhalawar, Bundi, Kota, Chittorgarh and Dungarpur districts of the state. Sun played hide and sick behind the cloud cover in Jaipur where only scattered rainfall was witnessed in the morning. Lightning occurred on the city outskirts including Shahpura, Kothputli, Bassi and Kanota.
In the evening Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Sirohi, Udaipur, Banswara and Jaisalmer witnessed mild to moderate showers. A rainfall varying from 130 mm to 10 mm was received at some places in the Udaipur, Jaipur and Bikaner divisions of the state. The Jaipur Met office said that Udaipur and Kota divisions will get heavy rainfall and while Jaipur, Bikaner, Bharatpur and Ajmer divisions will receive moderate showers in the next 24 hours. TNN
