Preeti shines as Rajasthan beat Vidarbha to enter U-15 quarters

Jaipur: Rajasthan defeated Vidarbha by four wickets in the BCCI Under-15 one-day pre-quarterfinal match at the SMS stadium here on Tuesday.Opting to bat first, Vidarbha scored 178 runs for the loss of a solitary wicket in 35 overs with the help of Arya Pongde's unbeaten innings of 120 runs. Rajasthan's Dhriti Mathur took the only wicket to fall at the cost of 47 runs.Chasing the target, the home team, with the help of Preeti Kasana's unbeaten half-century and Kavya Bishnoi's courageous knock romped home in 32.5 overs with four wickets to spare.Preeti smashed an unbeaten 68 off just 37 balls, which included 4 sixes and 8 fours. She was well supported by Kavya Bishnoi, who struck 44 off 37 balls, laced with 6 boundaries. Rochle Yadav (17) and Sarita (10) were the other notable contributors.For Vidarbha, Virsti Deshpande, Arya Pongde claimed 2 wickets each, while Shweta Tiwari and Sakshi took a wicket each.Rajasthan senior women down Chandigarh by 11 runsRajasthan edged past Chandigarh by 11 runs in the BCCI Senior Women's one-day trophy being played in Lahli, Haryana.Put into bat, Rajasthan were restricted to 118.
