PIL against CM on corruption charges
JAIPUR: The political storm and controversy surrounding chief minister Ashok Gehlot's involvement in corruption has now reached the Rajasthan High Court.
A public interest litigation (PIL) had been filed in this regard on Saturday before a division bench headed by chief justice Arun Mishra.
It is now up to the high court to admit the PIL and decide whether there was any role of the chief minister in the alleged land allotment cases mentioned in the litigation.

Opposition BJP had recently accused Gehlot of accepting gratification in the form of a flat for his daughter Soniya in Mumbai and also cash through his son Vaibhav Gehlot who works in one of the beneficiary companies. Allegations have also been levelled against Gehlot's son-in-law.
Challenging the accusations, Gehlot had said he would resign if the charges against him are proved and would initiate an investigation into the matter himself.
The petitioner, Krishan Kukkad, an advocate from Sriganganagar who had earlier filed an FIR against Vasundhara Raje and others in the Deen Dayal Trust land allotment, alleged that land in Jaipur worth Rs 3,000 crore has been given to a company in which Gehlot has 50 per cent shares. He further claimed that Shree Shubham Logistics, one of the sister concern of Muhnot Group, has been given 38 warehouses, worth Rs 1,500 crore, in Rajasthan without any tender for a period of five years.
Kukkad has moved the high court praying for a fair investigation into the cases by CBI under the monitoring of the court.
