JAIPUR: Necessary preparations have been made for operation of trains during the monsoon season, said officials from the North Western Railway (NWR).
Captain Shashi Kiran, CPRO, NWR said, “Sections which are prone to damage due to water and floods are being identified by the administration and such railway sections will have regular patrolling by trained personnel. Patrolling will be done on foot and necessary action will be taken immediately after sensing any danger like soil sitting, water overflowing from danger marks on the bridge. In case of cracks, falling or slipping of boulders in the hilly blocks, immediate action will be taken for rescue if required. All the patrol teams have been provided with GPS trackers, which are monitored by controllers concerned for their live locations.” tnn
