JAIPUR: Thirteen candidates, who had filed their nominations as
Congress candidates even before the party's list was announced, don't figure in the Congress' official list of 152 candidates. Even as Congress party annnounced its first list on Thursday night, these 13 candidates do not feature as party’s official candidates, from where they have filed their nominations.
Interestingly, from Bari both husband (Girraj Singh who is a sitting
MLA) and wife (Pinki) filed their nominations as Congress candidates. However, Girraj's name figure in the Congress party's official list of candidates.
Pinki, who had also filed two nominations as an independent candidate, said she was ready to contest the election opposite her husband as an independent candidate from Bari. "Since, I have filed the nominations as independent candidate, I will fight the polls," she said.
Even as Mansingh filed his nomination from Taranagar as party's candidate, Narendra Budania has been declared as the Congress' candidate from the constituency. In Bassi, Daulatram Meena has been declared Congress' candidate, even as Mahendra Kumar Meena filed his nomination as party's candidate from the same constituency.
Both Mansingh and Meena have decided to support the party's candidate and withdraw their candidature.
Meanwhile, from Udaipurwati even as Tarachand filed his nomination as party candidate, Bhagwan Ram Saini has been declared the Congress candidate from the constituency.
From Rajgarh-Laxmangarh, while Johrilal Meena's name has been announced as party's official candidate, Bana Ram Meena, who had filed his nomination as Congress candidate from the same constituency is still confident that he will get the party symbol on November 19.
"I am confident that I will get the party symbol on Nov 19. The names can change even at the last minute. I have full faith in the party High Command. If I don't get the party symbol, I may also contest from other parties..I am in touch with them. I have got calls from BJP as well," Bana Ram Meena told TOI.
In Baseri, the party's official candidate is Khiladilal Bairwa, even though Om Prakash Jatav has filed his nomination as Congress candidate.
In Dausa, the party's official candidate is Murarilal Meena. But two candidates - Dinesh Kumar Meena and Ram Savroop Jayswal - had filed their nominations as Congress candidates. They had also filed nominations as independent candidates.
Even as former BJP MP Harish Meena, who joined the Congress recently, has been decalred as party's official candidate from Deoli-Uniara, Kailash Chand Meena had already filed the nomination from the constituency.
“I have worked so hard for the party, but they gave the ticket to an outsider. What can I say? I will decide on the future course of action tomorrow,” Kailash Chand told TOI.
In Ajmer North, Mahendra Singh Ralawta is the party's official candidate, even as Shweta Sharma filed the nomination as party candidate. In Beawar, two candiadtes - Rameshwar Mewara and Sugan Chand Jain - had filed the nomination as party candidates, while Paras Panch Jain was announced as Congress' official candidate.
In Bhinmal, even as Samarjeet Singh is the party's official candidate, Bhabhoota Ram Choudhury had filed nominations as Congress candidate. He has also filed nomination as an independent.
Meanwhile, in Marwar Junction, Jassaram Rathore is the party's official candidate, where as Hariram Choudhury and Khushveer Singh filed nominations as Congress candidates on Friday after the list was released.
Finally, in Salumber, even as Raghuveer Singh Meena has been declared as Congress' official candidate from the constituency, Reshma filed her nomination as party candidate on Friday.
