KOTA: A 20-year-old NEET aspirant from Uttarakhand died after allegedly falling from the fourth floor of his hostel in Kota on Saturday morning, police said.
The incident was reported from Landmark City in the Kunhadi police station area.
The student, identified as Dixit Rajeshwari from Almora, had been preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) at a coaching institute in Kota for the past two years, police said.
Rajeshwari was staying in a room on the fourth floor of the hostel and allegedly fell from there, Circle Inspector Devesh Bhardwaj said.
Police reached the spot after receiving information around 7 am. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead, Bhardwaj said.
The body has been kept at the mortuary of MBS Hospital. Police have informed the student's family, and the post-mortem will be conducted after they arrive in Kota.
"The reason for death will be known after the post-mortem report comes," the officer said.
