National tiger conservation meet at Sariska
Alwar: A two-day conference of chief wildlife wardens of tiger range states and field directors of tiger reserves began Friday at the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan. The meet is being chaired by union minister for environment, forest and climate change Bhupender Yadav, who is also the chairman of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).Rajasthan forest minister Sanjay Sharma along with senior officials of environment ministry, chief wildlife wardens, and directors and field directors of tiger reserves attended the conference.

Yadav released the Jan edition of NTCA's outreach journal STRIPES, which highlights best practices in tiger conservation, including habitat management, use of modern technology, prey base augmentation, tiger translocation and community participation. A prize distribution ceremony for a painting competition organised by National Museum of Natural History was also held.
