Monsoon to revive across Rajasthan from tomorrow: Met

Southwest monsoon is likely to revive in the state from Wednesday with Met office predicting widespread rainfall activity. On Monday, heavy showers were witnessed at Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts.Rawatsar (Hanmangarh) received 130mm rains, the highest in the state.

JAIPUR: Southwest monsoon is likely to revive in the state from Wednesday with Met office predicting widespread rainfall activity. On Monday, heavy showers were witnessed at Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh districts.
Rawatsar (Hanmangarh) received 130mm rains, the highest in the state. It was followed by Sangaria (Hanumangarh) with 120 mm, Hanumangarh (100mm), Pilibanga in Sriganganagar (80mm), Srivijaynagar in Sriganganganagar (70mm), Malsisar in Jhunjhunu (60mm) and 50 mm was in Chirawa. Rainfall varying from 10mm to 50 mm was received at several places in the state.
People in Jaipur woke up amidst dense cloud cover and a pleasant morning. Scattered rainfall was witnessed in the city. Jaipur Met office said conditions look favourable for the revival of the Southwest monsoon from Wednesday. “Many places are likely to get moderate to heavy showers from Wednesday,” said an official.
