JAIPUR: A nursing staff of a private hospital in the city was booked for allegedly raping a minor girl, who is around 17. Police said the grandmother of the minor filed an FIR on Saturday against the accused.
The accused deceived the minor with the promise of marriage and other inducements to commit the crime. The victim reported this to her grandmother, who then filed a complaint at the Bajaj Nagar police station. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police registered a case.
The minor has undergone a medical examination, and her statement will be recorded soon in the court, police said. The complainant alleged that the accused came into contact with her granddaughter some time ago. He raped her by falsely promising to marry her soon.
'Efforts on to arrest accused' The accused also lured and exploited her with various other inducements.
When she informed her grandmother about this, she took her to the police station.
"The accused works as nursing staff at a city hospital. Efforts are on to arrest him," said a police officer.
