Minor girl ends life in Bundi district

KOTA: A 17-year-old girl committed

suicide

by hanging herself with a chunni at her home in Namana village of Bundi district on Friday. The reason for suicide is yet to be ascertained as no suicide note was found. The deceased has been identified as Puja Soni. She was a resident of Namana police station area.

“She tied chunni to the ventilation window angle of the room and hanged herself when no family member was present,” Namana SHO Koshliya said. The girl’s younger sister reached home from school and found her hanging. She informed the family, the SHO said. The deceased had left studies after passing class XII this year and stayed engaged in household chores, the SHO added.
