said Rajasthan Guaranteed Delivery of Public Services Act 2011 was still in force and officials who failed to discharge their duties in compliance with the law will be taken to task.


The state government had promised a comprehensive Act on public accountability by replacing the Rajasthan Guaranteed Delivery of Public Services Act 2011. But the minister reminded the officials that the Act was still in force and they had to deliver services within the stipulated

time

The minister was speaking after a public hearing at the party office on Tuesday. PCC general secretary organisation Mahesh Sharma said around 150 grievances were received during the public hearing at the party office and over 70 were resolved on the spot after having telephonic conversations with officials concerned.

The minister attended to public grievances till 4.30 pm. Every minister was being asked to hear public grievances at the party office. Sharma said grievances related to water, power, pension, EWS certificate etc were being addressed. Some ticket seekers for the upcoming local bodies elections are also making a beeline at the party office, he said.

The decision to hear public grievances at party office was taken at a joint meeting of the ministers and party office bearers held on September 19. Thus, each minister in a roaster will have to hear public grievances at the party office from 11 am to 2 pm on every working days.

Karan Singh Yadav

, general secretary Shanker Yadav, secretary Balendu Singh Shekhawat and Parasmal Jain will help the minister.
