MGNREGA irregularities: Six officials issued APO

Jaipur: After a thorough probe into financial irregularities in MGNREGA work under Jhontri panchayat samiti in Dungarpur district, six officials have been issued awaiting posting orders (APOs) and have been asked to give their reply by July 18. The order was issued by Dungarpur collector Chatan Deora. The officials who have been issued APOs included block development officer Raghuveer Meena, assistant engineer Amraram Patel, accounts officer Sandeep Vadala, junior technical assistant Nikesh Pandya and village development officers Rajkumar ((Baniya Talab) and Naresh Kumar (Basua).
The financial irregularities came to light after a thorough investigation into the files of 199 works under Baniya Talab and Basuwa gram panchayats in 2017-18 and 2018-19.Following irregularities in MGNREGA in the two panchayats, a three-member committee including Rajesh Pungliya (executive engineer, NREGA, Chittorgarh Zila Parishad), Devendra Rathore (accounts officer, NREGA, Chittorgarh Zila Parishad) and Devendra Kumar Mehta (assistant engineer, NREGA, Chittorgarh Zila Parishad) was formed.
