MCI is clean now: Chairman

The chairman of the Medical Council of India (MCI), Dr Shiv Sarin, said on Monday that in order to address the issue of shortage of faculty in medical colleges the MCI propose to increase the retirement age of the doctors to 70 years.

JAIPUR: The chairman of the Medical Council of India (MCI), Dr Shiv Sarin, said on Monday that in order to address the issue of shortage of faculty in medical colleges the MCI propose to increase the retirement age of the doctors to 70 years.
Referring to former MCI chief Ketan Desai’s arrest, he assured Kalam that the MCI is no longer involved in any corrupt practices. “MCI is clean now and morality is given priority over everything else,” he said.
He said the MCI was bringing out a new curriculum by January 17, incorporating the latest advancements in medicine.
