NEW DELHI: A man injured nine people after hitting them with his car outside a wedding ceremony in Dausa district, Rajasthan, on Sunday night.
The incident occurred in Ladpura village during a wedding celebration. Police report the accused, a guest from the groom's side, was setting off fireworks outside the venue when a dispute erupted with the bride's brother.
The argument escalated, leading the accused to get into his car. He then drove the vehicle into a group of people associated with the bride, injuring nine.
Seven individuals sustained critical injuries and were transported to SMS Hospital in Jaipur for treatment.
“The accused managed to flee from the spot and searches are being conducted to trace him,” stated police officials. Authorities are currently searching for the suspect.
