Man kills teen son, ends life in Bhilwara village
Bhilwara: A man allegedly slit his 13-year-old son's throat with a dathli (sickle) and then consumed a toxic substance in Badla village under Badliyas police station area of Bhilwara district Friday morning. The man later died during treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara.Police said the deceased were identified as 40-year-old Radheshyam Vaishnav and his son Vansh Vaishnav, a Class 8 student.
Police got the post-mortem of the duo conducted by a medical board and handed over the bodies to family members.Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh said Radheshyam Vaishnav slit his son's throat Friday morning and then consumed a toxic substance. Villagers rushed him in an unconscious state to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, where he died during treatment.On receiving information, Badliyas police station ASI Pyarchand reached the spot. A MOB and forensic team from Bhilwara also reached the scene and collected evidence. Preliminary investigation revealed that Radheshyam had disputes with his wife and used to beat her daily, due to which his wife was living at her maternal home in Chittorgarh. Police said the son was living with a teacher in Kotri in Bhilwara district and studying in Class 8. The father brought him to Badla Thursday evening and slit his throat next morning.Police said Radheshyam made a video on social media before the incident, accusing his in-laws and wife of harassing him and driving him to death. In the video, he said, "I seek forgiveness from all of you. My son and I will have to commit suicide within 1-2 days. The responsibility lies with my wife, elder son, daughter, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, his wife, and sister-in-law. My in-laws have harassed me immensely. Because of these people, my child and I are being forced to commit suicide. They should be given the strictest punishment. They have no right to come to my village. They should be given the harshest punishment. I seek forgiveness."Bhilwara police registered a case based on video and report of deceased's family members and started investigation.
