Man dies of injection, quack held for murder

Kota: Bundi police arrested a 35-year-old quack, Hariom Saini, who practised medicine with a GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) degree, for the murder of a man who was found dead on the roadside Tuesday last week. The quack had dumped the man’s body on the roadside after he died at his clinic, where he had injected him with Monocef 500 mg.
Om Prakash Gurjar, 38, resident of Devpura in Indergarh police station area of Bundi district, was found dead on Sumerganjmandi road in Indergarh town, following which police lodged a case of murder.
Police learnt that Gurjar had on Monday last week visited a clinic for treatment of cough and fever. The proprietor of the clinic, Hariom Saini, injected him with Monocef 500, said circle inspector at Indergarh police station, Rameshwar Choudhary.
Immediately after the injection, Gurjar’s pulse rate and blood pressure began dropping and he fell unconscious. He died the same day, Choudhary said.
In the night, Saini put the body in his car with help of his assistant, Deepak, and dumped it on the roadside, the officer said. TNN
