JAIPUR: Pink City is gearing up for admission season 2013. Long serpentine queues of parents outside various schools buying and submitting admission forms has become a common sight.
St Xavier's School, Jaipur has sold the maximum number of 1,900 forms in a matter of just three days for 320 seats. "The enthusiasm level among the parents was so high that they queued up for forms from wee hours," said CK Punnose, vice-principal of St Xavier's School.

The director of Neerja Modi School, Kanak Khanna says that the school has been busy with visitors' enquiries about admission process. "Our admission process has just begun and we are receiving queries from India and abroad about admissions."
The city is among the 10 growing cities attracting thousands of professional migrants who work in the MNCs. The rise in population has generated great demand for good schools, even preparatory schools are in big demand here.
Until a few years ago admission in preparatory schools was easy but now even good prep schools witness queues for forms. A prep school, 'We Can Kindersley' at Imli Phatak has sold out nearly all its seats much in advance. "This kind of rush for preparatory schools is a new phenomena and also explains the need for the same," said Jameel Khan, principal of the school.
