Jaipur: Teams Jindal Bedla, V Polo and Team Jaipur notched up contrasting wins on the third day of the KogniVera Polo Cup (8-goal) here on Thursday.
Siddhant Sharma delivered an outstanding performance for Jindal Bedla to lead his side to a thumping 11-2.5 victory Thunderbolt at the PPC Ground.
Besides Siddhant's eight goals, Simran Shergill contributed 2 goals, while Venkatesh Jindal added a goal. Rao Himmat Singh Bedla also played for the team.
For Team Thunderbolt, Lt Colonel Vishal Singh Chauhan scored a solitary goal. The team received a handicap advantage of 1.5 goals. Other players included Ravinder Mang, Mrityunjay Singh Chouhan and Samir Suhag.
Team V Polo clinched a close contest, defeating Team Aravali 7.5-6. Santiago Marambio led the charge for V Polo with 5 goals. Mukesh Singh and Salim Azmi chipped in with a goal each, while Vivaan Mehta also played for the team. Team V Polo received a half-goal handicap advantage.
From Team Aravali, Manuel Fernández Llorente (4 goals) and Kuldeep Singh Rathore (2 goals) fought well. Devender Singh and Raghuram Hari were also a part of the team.
In the last match of the day, Team Jaipur thumped Chandna Polo 9.5-5. Padmanabh Singh did the bulk of the job again by slamming 4 goals for Team Jaipur. Bhawani Singh Kalvi and Lance Watson provided able assistance by scoring 3 and 2 goals, respectively. Mirza Mohammed Baig was the other member of the side.
Team Jaipur received a half-goal handicap advantage in this match.
For Chandna Polo, Alejo Aramburu scored 2 goals, while Ashok Chandna and Dino Dhankhar scored 1 goal each. R.K. Dhananjay Singh was also part of the team.
