SHO (Rajiv Gandhi Nagar) Devi Chand Dhaka said that a report was filed by a person regarding the assault on his son at school on Friday.

According to the report, the son is an 11th-grade student at Shri Ram Public Senior Secondary School in Keru. As usual, he went to school in the morning, where a teacher slapped him, causing injury to his eardrum. It is alleged that the slap resulted in severe ear pain for the student. When the student returned home and recounted the incident, his family became enraged.

The student's father has filed charges against school administrator Lalit Sharma and teachers Goparam and Ramniwas for assault and an ST/SC offense. The father mentioned in his report that the teacher had beaten his son at school previously also, which had already caused ear problems to him, and treatment was ongoing.

Dhaka said that the police have begun investigating the matter, and a medical examination of the student was conducted on Saturday, which has not indicated any external injury though.
