: Thousands of people paid their last respects to soldier Peeraram who was killed in
Jammu and Kashmir on November 21.
His four-year-old son lit the funeral pyre on Tuesday at Bachdau village in Barmer. The body was taken from Jalipa Cantt to Bachdau in an Army vehicle amid chants of ‘Peeraram amar rahe’. Guard of honour was given and rounds were fired in the air. The soldier was patrolling along north Kashmir’s

when he slipped and fell into a gorge following inclement weather and snowfall on November 21. Union minister of state Kailash Choudhary, Gudamalani MLA Hema Ram Chaudhary, Chauhtan MLA Padmaram, district collector Anshdeep, SP Sharad Chaudhary and other officers, politicians, public representatives and thousands of people were present on the occasion.Meanwhile, Kailash Choudhary announced to give Rs 10 lakh to build a memorial for the martyr.
