NEW DELHI: The death toll in the LPG tanker accident on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway has increased to 20, after one more man succumbed to severe burn injuries at SMS Hospital on Saturday.
Dr. Sushil Bhati, superintendent of SMS Hospital, confirmed the death, adding that seven individuals are still undergoing treatment.
The accident occurred on December 20, when an LPG tanker collided with a truck, igniting a massive fireball that engulfed more than 35 vehicles.
The collision turned a stretch of the highway into an inferno, claiming the lives of 11 people on the day of the accident.
