shooting case in which a 41-year-old man was wounded eight days ago near Gandhi Path had hired contract killers for Rs 15 lakh to kill the husband of the woman he loved.

had hired the gunmen from Mumbai. Shinde told cops that he loved
Aditya Jain’s (41) wife but
Jain
had become a hurdle and was ‘meddling’ too much. Rs 13 lakh was already paid as part of the first installment, police said.
Police subsequently arrested one of the shooters identified as Savan Kumar from Jalore. Police said that Shinde and Jain’s wife shared phone numbers and began meeting each other regularly. When the husband got to know about it, he decided to leave
Dombivli
. “Jain ran a shop in Dombivli. But came to Jaipur last year to avoid Shinde,” an official said.
Shinde was seething with rage when he discovered that Jain and his wife had moved to Jaipur. “Shinde tracked down the transporting company that had moved Jain’s belongings to Jaipur. He told the company officials that Jain had fled Dombivli without paying debts and obtained Jain’s Jaipur address,” an official informed TOI.
“Shinde agreed to pay Rs 15 lakh to gunmen. Rs 13 lakh was already paid and another Rs 2 lakh was to be paid after killing him,” police said.
