It’s celebration time for Kunal Pandit in Jodhpur

R J-turned singer and actor, Kunal Pandit, who rose to fame with shows like Bandini and Kuldeepak came to Jodhpur to attend his best friend’s wedding. Kunal, who explored the rich culture and heritage of the state, shared with us, “It is my first time in Jodhpur and I’m loving it here as people are really sweet. From the moment I checked into the hotel, people started recognising me and were very warm.”

Kunal enjoyed every bit of the wedding celebrations – from wearing a colourful pagri, dancing to Rajasthani folk songs to relishing the traditional Rajasthani delicacies. Kunal said, “For the first time, I am attending a Rajasthani wedding, so I had a great time. All my colleagues from work got together to enjoy and no one was stressed about their work. If you go for a destination wedding, everybody gets a chance to bond. It’s one of the best things as you get to see a lot of romance, dating, flirting, dancing with everyone dressed to the nine.” The actor tried delicacies like Kamal gatte ki sabzi , Kaju curry, Mirchi vada, doodh jalebi and kadai wala doodh.

DOUBLE DOSE OF CELEBRATION
It was time for double celebration for Kunal as it was also his birthday on November 28. The wedding of his best friend Parikshit Balochi gave him an opportunity to celebrate his birthday with his friends. He added, “It felt amazing as I was with my two other buddies who had flown down to Jodhpur. In fact, they took a flight and then a train just to be there for my birthday. We went to quite a lot of places like Mehrangarh Fort, Clock Tower and local stores for shopping where I bought handmade shorts and pyjamas. I even picked up some shoes, pyjamas and kurtas for my friends, sister and my mother. While we tried out local food, we discovered a lot about Jodhpur.”
