Insects play havoc again in Ramgarh
Jaisalmer: Once again a huge number of locusts have attacked crops in Ramgarh area of Jaisalmer district. Revenue minister Harish Choudhary visited the Ramgarh canal area on Sunday after the locust attacked a huge area.
He visited Kheenya, Kheenvsar Navatala and other areas. The minister was accompanied by many officials. He met the farmers and assured them of all possible help.

He also sought information about the loss. Agriculture department officials were directed to provide sufficient quantity of pesticides to farmers to control locusts. Farmers told the minister that throughout the night they sprayed pesticides.
The minister assured the farmers that girdawari would be conducted once again and no affected farmer shall be deprived of compensation.
Agriculture deputy director Radheyshyam Narwal said that nine vehicles of the department have controlled locust at Sonu, Narwar Singh ki Dhani, Ramgarh, Asutar Road, Kolhu, Satarwali, 16,17,18 Bhatia Miner etc.
District collector Namit Mehta has also directed locust control, agriculture department and other departments to control locust on priority basis.
