JODHPUR: IG (vigilance) Madhusudan Singh was referred to the Rajiv Gandhi Spine Centre, New Delhi on Tuesday after his condition worsened. He was airlifted to New Delhi at noon on Tuesday. Singh had met with an
accident on Monday near Jaisalmer when the tyre of his car burst and the vehicle turned turtle. His wife and driver were also injuries. They all were taken to the Jaisalmer hospital immediately, from where they were referred to the MDM Hospital, Jodhpur on Monday.
According to the superintendent of MDM Hospital, Arvind Mathur, Singh sustained severe spinal injury which paralysed his legs. He also suffered a rib fracture leading to internal bleeding in the lungs. He was kept in the ICU and later it was decided that he be shifted to New Delhi.
The IG’s wife Damyanti Singh and drive Sumer Singh have been referred to the SMS Hospital, Jaipur. He was going to Jaisalmer to attend some meeting.
