Jaipur: The
Budget impetus on bringing the out-of-school back to mainstream school education and imparting skill training in new-age professions is a much-needed push for the state. The budgetary allocation for the digital university and centre for excellence in Artificial Intelligence has to further scale up the technical education and startup ecosystem in the state.
“State has recorded a high out-of-school children due to Covid and needs extra attention and budget to bring them back into schools.
If a comprehensive policy is initiated by the central government, it would have a bigger impact,” said
Shahzad Khan of NGO AAGHAZ, working with dropout girls in Jaipur’s Walled City.
Highlighting the impact of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Puneet Sharma, an educationist, said, “Training on job-oriented courses like AI and robotics will give the state youths new wings.”
