Rajasthan high court on Wednesday declined bail to suspended IAS officer Neeraj K Pawan and middleman
Ajit Soni
, both of whom are accused in the
National Rural Health Mission
(NRHM)
corruption case.

The court completed hearing on bail applications of both the accused recently but kept the judgment reserved. The single bench of Justice Prashant Kumar Agarwal declared the judgment on Wednesday and noted that the bail was being declined considering the evidences gathered by investigators, gravity of the crime and complicity of the accused.
The state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed corruption in the NRHM-IEC in May this year. Subsequently, IAS officer Pawan, middleman Soni, RAS officer Anil Agarwal, accounts officer
Rekha Gupta
and storekeeper George Varghese were arrested. Agarwal and Gupta got bail earlier, while the other three are still in jail. The ACB had filed chargesheet against all the accused.
