JAIPUR: Health minister Parsadi Lal Meena directed his officials to fill the vacant posts of doctors and paramedical staff in RUHS Hospital.
He directed RUHS vice-chancellor Dr Sudhir Bhandari to fill the vacant posts at their own level at the earliest at a meeting held at health minister's chamber on Monday. He said in addition to the sanctioned posts, if there is a need for more posts, the hospital can make a proposal and send it to the government for approval.
BJP leader and former health minister Kalicharan Saraf said healthcare services of the hospital has collapsed due to transfer of 22 "surplus" doctors from Jaipuria Hospital, which falls in his assembly constituency.
Also, 10 doctors on deputation have also been shifted elsewhere. Saraf, MLA of Malviya Nagar Assembly constituency, said a massive protest will be staged in front of Jaipuria Hospital on September 16.
Saraf said from September 13 to 15, a signature campaign will be organised in the major markets of Malviya Nagar assembly constituency in protest.
Saraf had written a letter to chief minister
Ashok Gehlot informing about the transfer of doctors from Jaipuria hospital. Patients from Malviya Nagar, Bagru, Sanganer, constituencies come to the hospital for treatment.
