Govt plans to develop schools as smart campuses under Vision’30

Jaipur: The state education department is planning to develop schools as smart campuses with sports grounds with all facilities by 2030, said officials on Tuesday. The officials also set a vision to achieve the goal of complete literacy in Rajasthan by 2030.In a review meeting, Naveen Jain, secretary school education, also said that education and management hubs must be established in every district so that all the offices of the department can operate in a single campus with better coordination.“Pre-primary units can be constructed in every gram panchayat level school. Also, by the year 2030, 70% schools should be equipped with solar or wind energy. We can also develop schools as consciousness centres on nutrition and health. Health check-up of children in the age group of 3-6 years in pre-primary classes must be conducted and an action plan be drawn as per the needs of low nutrition and moderate nutrition,” added Jain. T Shubhamangala, state project director for Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, said that there is a need for changes on a large scale in the B.Ed curriculum. He said, “In view of the increasing influence of technology in education, it is necessary to incorporate new areas by including digital education in the B.Ed curriculum. Curriculum for school children should be prepared in such a way that it increases the happiness index.”
