"On Friday, at one of the Jaipur properties, we found a concealed chamber hidden behind a large wall. Inside the secret room were 10 small lockers. Following on-the-spot verification of documents, the department seized the unaccounted assets," said an officer, on condition of anonymity.
In total, the search operation detected gold estimated at around Rs 11 crore, cash of Rs 1.25 crore and details of 10 bank lockers. However, after preliminary scrutiny of documents submitted by the group, authorities formally seized gold worth Rs 7.5 crore and Rs 25 lakh in cash.
Verification of the remaining assets is underway.
