JAISALMER: After the announcement of setting up of refinery and two days after the signing of MoU between
HPCL and the state government, chief minister
Ashok Gehlot along with his wife Sunita reached Tanot Mateshwari temple situated at Indo-Pak border adjoining Jaisalmer on Saturday.
Gehlot stayed in temple for quite a long time and did puja and tied 'mannati rumal' (handkerchief) at 'rumal ghar' situated near the temple.
His wife expressed also tied a handkerchief. They saw the unexploded bombs in the premises that belonged to the wars of 1965 and 1971 and took stock of the development of temple from BSF officers. State finance secretary Govind Chaturvedi was also with him.
It is being said that Gehlot prayed to the Tanot mata for refinery in Rajasthan and after his wish was fulfilled he came to the temple to pay his obeisance. His wife, MP Harish CHoudhary and other officials and public representatives were with Gehlot.
Gehlot said efforts are being made to develop the Tanot Mata temple, so that devotees can get more facilities for which he has announced the amount in the budget. He also participated in the evening 'aarti' and will leave for Sojat on Sunday. took stock of arrangements at the temple from the officers..
