ALWAR: A 34-year-old criminal sustained severe injuries in a terrifying gang war between two groups in Behror on Thursday.
The police told TOI that members of Devi Lal Gujjar and Satyam gangs clashes with each other near Pahari village and fired multiple shots at each other. One member of the gang, Prabhu Gujjar sustained bullet injuries on his back.

He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Alwar district. The panic prevailed in the village following the shooting, with many villagers locking themselves inside their houses.
The police told TOI that they have filed a case against the accused and investigating the matter. The sources said that both gangs have been at loggerheads for past many months over their quest to dominate the areas.
Adding to the fear, a social media post went viral in which youth is holding a pistol and claiming that he is coming to Behror on June 8. The youth identified himself as Sachin Choudhary said that people should live inside their homes as he is expecting a trouble in the city very soon.
“The accused has advised people not to get into any kind of tension like situation, he is also claiming that there will lot of firing going to happen in the city very soon,” an official said, adding that they have taken cognizance of the matter.
The police however, said that the social media post has got nothing to do with the gang war and the firing. “We have arrested some people for creating panic through social media messages. Who asked him to post such messages is a matter of investigation,” added the official.
The police said that all the accused involvement in the gang war have been identified and efforts are being made to arrest the accused.
