Jaipur: The Bandi Sudhar Diwas was observed in the Jaipur Central Jail with gaiety and enthusiasm on Friday.
All the prisoners participated in the function held at the central hall of the jail. Many renowned persons, including a senior high court judge, advocates, politicians, bureaucrats and jail officials took part in the function. It was jointly held by the Central Jail and social welfare department.

According to the jail superintendent Preeta Bhargawa, high court judge Mahesh Chand Sharma participated in the function as the chief guest. He said that every inmate of the Central Jail should follow the path of Mahatma Gandhi who used his solitude in jails during the freedom movement for creativity.
Zila pramukh Ramgopal Guard said, ���Everyone who has served his tenure should consider the life after the jail a re-birth. Try to find out your inner virtues and use them to your best capacity to settle in life,��� he said.
The president of the Women Lawyer Association Kamala Jain, senior advocate Navratnamal Ranka and deputy director of the social welfare department Pyarelal Varma also participated in the function and addressed the inmates. Varma also informed that the department is observing ���Social Welfare Week��� till October 7.
Inmates showed off their talent in yoga and other arts during the function.
