JAIPUR: Senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani on Tuesday called for support from common man to ensure the country is free of corruption and made sure that the newly formed Vasundhara Raje government will take measures to curb corruption.
Advani was addressing a gathering after unveiling the statue of freedom fighter Hemu Kalani on the occasion of his death anniversary in Raja Park area of the city.
"While our freedom fighters did their bit to get us freedom, we need to do out bit to ensure the country is freed of corruption. I am sure that Vasundhara Raje will provide good governance in the state and take measures against corruption,'' said Advani, who along with chief minister Vasundhara Raje also felicitated family members of freedom fighters and martyrs.
In her address, Raje appreciated the contribution of the Sindhi community for Kalani's statue. "It is good to see that the municipal corporation and elected representatives contributed to raise funds for this. The community's support is important to us to make our dream of development come true,'' said Raje.
